For those unfamiliar with Hungarian history, Mátyás Rákosi was the Communist leader of Hungary from 1947 to 1956. Won't waste space here going into too much research and history - the Wiki profile of this funky-ass character can be found here.
These photos and posters are a sample of the exhibit from the national archives. They depict "everyday life" in the Hungary of those times.
