Street Art in The Park from the Big Geezers

I ran across this spectacular graffiti wall in a park in VIII district. A little research tells me that this is the work of the Big Geezers, a pan-international graffiti collective that toured Europe in 2007 and left a trail of masterworks in their wake.

This tour was sponsored by the clothing corporation Carhartt with the assistance of a mysterious person named Chaos who also promoted it on his radio show.

The surreal tableau depicts many memorable characters like a large woman with a womb like the maw of a whale shark, and a dinosaur reflecting upon guilt and regret some 199,999,873 years before the publication of Freud's Civilization and Its Discontents. Powerful stuff, give you funny dreams especially if you view after burning some serious weed.

Look for this amazing wall next time you are in VII district. And if, unlike me, you remember what street it is on leave a comment for the rest of the folks~!

The crew that painted this wall: Microbo (Italy), Joska (Germany), Jeremy Fish (USA), Wayne Horse (Netherlands), Bo 130 (Italy), The London Police (UK), Galo (Italy) and Will Barras (UK) – all part of the Big Geezers family.

More Random Graffiti
Just a pineapple-orange splash of graffiti for you today, from near the Arpád Híd tram stop if I remember correctly.

Wow Even More Szentendre Graffiti Photos
If you travel to Szentendre on the HEV commuter train you can see some wicked graffiti just north of Arpád Híd. This is just one area of the city where the walls that run alongside rail lines have been covered with excellent graffiti art.
The wall that has been done up goes on for some hundreds of metres, often in a continuous collage. Not much of it has been defiled by taggers, the only things obscuring it as of this photo shoot are some weeds and overgrown tree branches.
Here's more of this excellent work. For more check my previous post here. Nagyon szép!

New Linx & Graffiti Freekz
Updated my links section with a list of street art sites and blogs. FatCap, Ekosystem and Art Crimes are online gold mines of amazing street art. Also Doing some web research on the graffiti I've been photographing around B-town. I found that the Metro 4 Graffiti I've posted here and here was not created specially for BKV's construction sites, but was done at the Write4Gold East Europe "Summer Time" competition last year. Neopaint and BKV received them for use after the event. I am updating my posts to reflect which crews did what in my photos. If anyone knows more background on the relationship between Write4Gold and Neopaint please leave a comment.
Check out these wicked good "Flavor of the East" themed offerings from another Write4Gold event in Hajógyári-Sziget (Obuda Island).

More Metro 4 Graffiti
While construction on Metro 4 is going on, the plywood boards ringing the construction site were painted in the summer of 2007 at the Write4Gold Eastern Europe competition with a "Summer Time" theme. Metro4 and Neopaint have posted these walls for public viewing.
